The Brief
An airport is less a place than a condition: not here, not there, not yet. Most of the experience consists of waiting. You stand in lines, sit under bright lights, take your shoes off, put them back on, and spend several hours belonging fully to neither where you came from nor where you are going.
This is part of what makes airport dressing so specific. Clothes have to negotiate comfort, utility, fatigue, temperature, and the vague hope of remaining composed while being mildly inconvenienced in public. An airport outfit is a small system for passing through.
So this week, think in layers, soft structure, and comfort you can live in for six delayed hours. Hoodies, trench coats, technical jackets, knits, tote bags, sneakers. Grey, navy, black, silver, off-white. Clothes for being between places.
Wear something that knows how to wait.
