The Brief
Few flavors are loved as widely, and admitted to as rarely, as sour cream and onion.
It arrives in a can, usually green, and leaves evidence on the fingers of people who should know better. For a while, the hand and the mouth reach an agreement that the rest of the body is not consulted on.
That felt like a delicious enough reason to make it the theme this week.
Softness and sharpness are easy to find in any wardrobe and rarely found together. Cream, pale green, a little salt, and then something that bites. Get the proportion wrong and it is a mess. Get it right and it becomes the thing you keep reaching for, long after you meant to stop.
