Tarihçe
Edoardo Caovilla founded the company in 1923 in Fiesso d’Artico, near Venice. His son, René Fernando, later shifted the focus toward couture-level footwear. In the 1960s, the brand gained prominence through collaborations with designers like Valentino Garavani and Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel. The 1969 introduction of the Cleo sandal, featuring a signature coiled ankle strap inspired by Roman bracelets, remains a significant contribution to footwear history and is exhibited in the MoMA.
