a yellow object

A Yellow Object is a multidisciplinary design house founded on the principles of anatomical construction and modularity. The brand prioritizes object-based design over traditional seasonal cycles, utilizing a distinct monochromatic palette. Its aesthetic merges technical utility with conceptual art, representing a subculture of functionalism and structural design.

History

Established in 2022 by designer Aitor Throup, A Yellow Object serves as a continuation of his exploration into the relationship between the human form and clothing. The brand emerged following Throup’s tenure at G-Star RAW and his previous project, New Object Research. It holds significance for its rejection of conventional fashion industry timelines and its focus on the Daily Object series. This approach emphasizes the longevity and iterative development of specific design archetypes within fashion history.
