Renoma is a Parisian fashion house characterized by its unconventional approach to traditional tailoring. The brand represents a rebellious, non-conformist aesthetic that blends classic French elegance with a provocative, mod-inspired sensibility. Its ethos centers on deconstructing formal dress codes to create versatile, avant-garde menswear.
History
Founded in 1963 by brothers Maurice and Michel Renoma, the brand opened its first boutique on Rue de la Pompe in Paris. It gained cultural significance by dressing influential figures such as Serge Gainsbourg and Andy Warhol. Renoma played a pivotal role in the 1960s fashion revolution by introducing slim silhouettes and bold fabrics to menswear. This shift challenged established sartorial norms and helped define the aesthetic of the French yé-yé subculture.
