Magliano

Magliano is an Italian menswear label that explores Mediterranean subcultures and queer identity through deconstructed tailoring. The brand emphasizes a dark Italian aesthetic, blending working-class archetypes with subversive silhouettes. Its ethos centers on reinterpreting traditional masculinity through a provincial, underground lens.

History

Luca Magliano founded the namesake brand in 2017 in Bologna, Italy. The label gained international recognition for its distinct narrative on Italian provincial life and marginalized communities. In 2023, Magliano received the Karl Lagerfeld Prize at the LVMH Prize ceremony. The brand is noted for its role in shifting contemporary Italian fashion away from luxury tropes toward a more raw, culturally specific representation of Mediterranean identity and social realism.
