Ludovic de Saint Sernin

Ludovic de Saint Sernin is an eponymous label defined by gender-fluid minimalism and a sensual, body-conscious aesthetic. The brand represents a queer subculture, emphasizing vulnerability and eroticism through artisanal craftsmanship. Its collections frequently utilize lace, leather, and crystal embellishments to challenge traditional masculine silhouettes.

History

Founded in 2017 by the French-Belgian designer after his tenure at Balmain, the label gained immediate recognition for its provocative approach to menswear. It received the ANDAM Creative Brand Prize in 2018 and was a finalist for the LVMH Prize. The brand is significant for its role in the contemporary movement toward genderless fashion. In 2023, Saint Sernin briefly served as the creative director for Ann Demeulemeester before returning focus to his independent house.
