Limi Feu is a Japanese avant-garde label characterized by dark palettes, asymmetrical silhouettes, and oversized tailoring. The brand represents a fusion of street-level punk aesthetics with high-fashion deconstruction. Its ethos emphasizes individual comfort and a rebellious departure from conventional feminine silhouettes through functional, layered designs.
History
Limi Yamamoto launched the brand in 1999, originally under the name Y's bis LIMI, before rebranding to Limi Feu in 2002. She debuted her collection at Paris Fashion Week in 2007. The label holds significance for continuing the legacy of Japanese deconstructivism while introducing a distinct youth-oriented, street-culture perspective. It occupies a specific niche in fashion history by bridging the gap between her father’s minimalist philosophy and contemporary urban subcultures.
