Liberty Walk is a Japanese brand rooted in automotive customization and street fashion. Its aesthetic centers on the Bosozoku subculture, characterized by aggressive wide-body silhouettes and bold graphics. The ethos emphasizes individual expression and a departure from traditional design standards within the global car and streetwear scenes.
History
Wataru Kato established Liberty Walk in 1993 in Nagoya, Japan. Initially an exotic car dealership, the company transitioned into a global entity by applying traditional Japanese Kaido Racer styling to modern supercars. This approach modified high-end automotive designs and established a specific visual language in fashion and car culture. The brand's apparel line serves as an extension of this movement, documenting the intersection of Japanese design and contemporary urban style.
