KidSuper is a Brooklyn-based creative collective and fashion label defined by a multidisciplinary, DIY aesthetic. The brand integrates fine art, streetwear, and surrealism into its designs. It represents a subculture of youthful experimentation, emphasizing community-driven creativity and the rejection of traditional industry boundaries.
History
Founded by Colm Dillane in 2011, KidSuper originated as a screen-printing operation in a Brooklyn basement. The brand gained prominence for its unconventional runway shows that blend performance art with garment presentation. In 2021, Dillane received the LVMH Karl Lagerfeld Prize, solidifying the label's influence. His 2023 appointment as the first guest designer for Louis Vuitton following Virgil Abloh’s tenure marked a significant shift in how luxury houses engage with independent streetwear creators.
