Description
Joe Fresh is a Canadian clothing brand sold through Loblaw Companies retail stores. Its aesthetic centers on affordable, versatile everyday wardrobe staples, including basics, denim, and seasonal collections. The brand reflects a value-driven, accessible approach to contemporary casual fashion.
History
Joe Fresh was launched in 2006 by Loblaw Companies, one of Canada's largest grocery and pharmacy retailers, as a private-label apparel line. It was developed in collaboration with designer Joe Mimran, a founder of the Canadian label Joe Fresh's predecessor brand, Joe Fresh Style. The line expanded into international markets, including the United States, and became notable for its high-volume, low-price model within the fast fashion sector. Its production drew scrutiny following the 2013 Rana Plaza factory collapse in Bangladesh, as garments bearing the label were manufactured there.
