Iron Heart

Iron Heart is a Japanese clothing brand specializing in heavyweight denim and rugged workwear. Its aesthetic centers on durability and functional design tailored for the motorcycle subculture. The brand emphasizes high-quality construction and longevity, prioritizing utilitarian performance over transient fashion trends.

History

Shinichi Haraki founded Iron Heart in 2002 after twenty years of experience in the Japanese garment industry. He established the brand to create clothing specifically for motorcyclists, utilizing heavy fabrics like twenty-one-ounce denim. In 2005, Giles Padmore partnered with Haraki to expand the brand internationally. Iron Heart contributed to the global resurgence of Japanese selvedge denim and established a standard for heavyweight textiles within the heritage menswear movement.
