  • If you're tired of plain T-shirts, go ahead and buy one! Most of the designs are pretty simple, but the fabric is sturdier than UNIQLO T-shirts, making them perfect for summer. I also like that the neckline is a bit higher👍

History

Founded in 1901 by John Wesley Hanes, the company originated as a hosiery and knitting business in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It played a significant role in the mid-20th century shift where undergarments, specifically the white crew-neck t-shirt, transitioned into acceptable standalone outerwear. This evolution influenced global casual fashion standards. The brand remains a historical fixture in the development of the American textile industry and the mass production of standardized apparel.
