Fuct

Fuct is a pioneering American streetwear brand characterized by its subversive aesthetic and anti-establishment ethos. It draws heavily from skate culture, punk rock, and military influences. The brand frequently utilizes appropriation and parody of corporate iconography to challenge social norms and mainstream consumerism.

History

Founded in 1990 by artist Erik Brunetti in Los Angeles, Fuct is recognized as a foundational element of modern streetwear. The brand gained notoriety for its provocative graphics and refusal to conform to industry standards. In 2019, it achieved significant legal importance when the United States Supreme Court ruled in Matal v. Brunetti that the government could not refuse trademark registration based on immoral or scandalous content, citing First Amendment protections.
