Façonnable

Façonnable is a French luxury brand rooted in the heritage of the Côte d'Azur. Its aesthetic emphasizes tailored sportswear and refined casual attire, reflecting a Mediterranean lifestyle. The brand represents a classic, preppy ethos characterized by high-quality fabrics and timeless European elegance.

History

Jean Goldberg established the brand in 1950 as a small tailor shop in Nice, France. His son, Albert Goldberg, expanded the business into a global ready-to-wear label starting in 1961. Façonnable gained international prominence through a distribution agreement with Nordstrom in the 1980s, introducing French Riviera style to the American market. Historically, the brand bridged the gap between traditional bespoke tailoring and modern mass-market luxury, influencing the development of high-end casual menswear.
