Cheap Monday

Cheap Monday was a Swedish clothing label defined by its slim-fit denim and distinctive skull logo. The brand represented a fusion of punk rock aesthetics and minimalist Scandinavian design. It catered to youth subcultures, emphasizing an alternative, non-conformist ethos through its focus on tight silhouettes.

Fashion History

Founded in 2004 by Örjan Andersson and Adam Friberg, the brand originated from a small second-hand store in Stockholm called Weekend. It gained international recognition for making skinny jeans accessible to a wider audience during the indie-rock revival of the mid-2000s. H&M acquired the company in 2008. After a period of declining sales, the brand was discontinued in 2019, marking the end of its significant influence on high-street denim trends.
