Ameri VINTAGE is a Japanese fashion label that blends archival aesthetics with contemporary design. The brand emphasizes a "no rules" philosophy, merging vintage-inspired silhouettes with modern textiles. It represents a subculture of eclectic styling that prioritizes individual expression over transient seasonal trends.
History
Naoko Kurose founded the brand in 2014 after working as a lead designer for EMODA. Initially launched as an online boutique, it transitioned into physical retail in Tokyo’s Daikanyama district. The brand is significant for popularizing the "Neo-Vintage" movement in Japan, which integrates authentic second-hand pieces with original apparel. This approach influenced the mid-2010s shift toward sustainable consumption and the revaluation of historical garment construction within Japanese retail sectors.
