Geschiedenis
Founded in 1916 in Helsinki, Karhu initially produced skis and javelins before expanding into running shoes. The brand gained international recognition during the 1920s and 1930s through its association with Finnish Olympic athletes. In 1952, Karhu sold its three-stripe trademark to Adidas for a small sum and two bottles of whiskey. It subsequently introduced the M-logo and Fulcrum technology, influencing modern sneaker design and establishing a legacy in performance athletics and lifestyle fashion.
