The collaboration launched in early 2022 as a creative partnership between Ye, Gap, and Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna. It aimed to merge luxury design with Gap’s retail infrastructure. However, Gap terminated the partnership in late 2022 following controversial public statements made by Ye.
