Modehistoria
Founded in 2009 by Damien van zyll de Jong in Vancouver, British Columbia, Native Shoes introduced lightweight, antimicrobial materials to casual footwear. The brand gained cultural significance by applying injection-molding technology to classic sneaker silhouettes, such as the Jefferson. Historically, it contributed to the mainstream adoption of synthetic, animal-free materials in the lifestyle footwear sector. Its Remix Project established a framework for recycling used EVA products into playground flooring and insulation.
