Quinto and Flora Casadei founded the company in 1958 in San Mauro Pascoli, Italy. Initially producing sandals for tourists on the Adriatic Riviera, the brand expanded into international markets during the 1960s. It remains a family-owned enterprise, with Cesare Casadei serving as creative director since 1994. The brand is historically significant for its technical contributions to footwear design, specifically the development of ultra-thin, reinforced steel heels that challenged traditional manufacturing limits.
